THE BLUE VALE STANDARD
The Origin
Why Altitude matters
Blue Vale begins with altitude.
3000–5500 FT Higher elevations slow the maturation of coffee cherries. This measured pace helps shape the density, sweetness, and aromatic complexity associated with Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee.Higher elevation creates a gentler growing environment.
The cherry has more time to build density, sweetness, and structure.
A smooth body and an exceptionally clean finish.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes. Blue Vale contains 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee. It is not blended with beans from other regions.
The JACRA mark identifies coffee and authorized trademark users within Jamaica’s regulated coffee system, helping protect the Jamaica Blue Mountain® name from imitation and misuse. Look for the official certification mark on every Blue Vale coffee bag.
First Reserve is the classic expression, selected for balance and smooth body. Peaberry Reserve forms when a coffee cherry develops one rounded seed instead of two, creating a brighter, more concentrated cup.
Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee is prized for balance: natural sweetness, gentle acidity, smooth body, aroma, and a remarkably clean finish. We use a medium roast because it develops the bean enough to build sweetness and body while preserving those qualities of the origin.
Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee is naturally limited by its small protected growing region, steep terrain, slow maturation, selective hand-harvesting, and strict quality controls. Peaberry is rarer still: only a small fraction of coffee cherries naturally develop a single rounded seed instead of two, making Jamaica Blue Mountain® Peaberry an exceptionally scarce selection.
No. Jamaica produces coffee in several regions and classifications. Only qualifying coffee from the designated Blue Mountain region may use the protected Jamaica Blue Mountain® name.
